Review of the unity day
May we all unified
In September 15, on that day morning, after two classes, students got together in the new gym in excitement and well-prepared. Yeah, it was the High School Unity Day. During flex time in the past two days, students gathered in different classroom with their team members and discussed for the first performance in order to do well in showing their spirits to other teams and win the first program. I was in the red team and I saw everyone’s efforts on this first show from our team’s name to the final form of the show. It’s a very good chance to have high school students together and working for their team. The performance was incredible. Every team has its own creative ideas and showed their efforts. After each team’s show, students in another team ran to that team and celebrated it.
After the performance, students went to different places to have their games or competitions for the first section. Students were full of energy and ready to fight for the winners. I was in the dodgeball first. It was my first time playing it so I didn’t play well. But I got the easy rule gradually and find out that it was a funny activity. We have many turns of the dodgeball having competitions with different team. We threw ball to each other while avoiding the ball thrown from the opposite team. It needs power and skills. Finally, when two teams vs two teams, teacher also joined this exciting game and had fun in it. Meanwhile, in other places, other students were having fun in activities like game marathon, dancing, soccer, etc. Also, students who were doing slide shows came around to take photos for their projects and record these good memories.
After the first section, we had delicious pizzas( we can seldom see in cafeteria) for lunch. After the first section, students were a little bit tired but they still had the spirits. Pizzas were like energy supplements. Students went to the field to ate pizzas and chat with each other, share their experience this morning. And also watched the teacher-student football game and relax. The weather outside was very good. After lunch period, the second section came.
The second section started at 13:30 in the afternoon. As the first section, students went to different places. But I went to Yoga which I didn’t signed up. Another girl had the same situation with me. But we still went there and did it. It’s better than I thought I would be. We didn’t have competitions just enjoyed it. Again there's students who was doing slide shows came to take photos. We could hear the sound in the new gym below. I guess it was the hockey competition. It sounds excited.
After the second section, the most exciting part came. The final reveal part. The students in banner making activity came after us to the new gym with their works. Those works looked beautiful. After teachers prized the works, we had several small funny games receive credits for the final winner. Also, what was excited was students’ dancing competition. Two mixed team( red and blue, black and white) gave us two incredible dancing. Also the dancers invited us to go dancing with them. Students were like boiling water in a huge cattle. Finally the red and blue(purple) team won.
The slide show was the final activity before the final results came out: blue team won the first prize. But unfortunately, the red team became the last one. But we can try to do well in the next one. May we all unified.
